About me

I am a Caterpillar-trained and certified Diesel Plant Fitter with over 30 years of experience specialising in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment. My extensive hands-on experience in mining operations and equipment maintenance comes from working in expatriate roles across open-cut mines in Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Additionally, in my role as a Technical Representative/Advisor, I have been responsible for:

  • Conducting root cause analyses (RCA) on major component failures
  • Producing detailed failure analysis reports
  • Compiled and presented product and issue reports to management
  • Performing on-site equipment condition monitoring with trend analysis reporting
